Statement

My practice focuses on tempera painting.  I am interested in painting as a language that cannot be captured verbally, especially its formal and technological aspects. My works hover between figuration and abstraction, conveying feelings rather than vision. Through working with egg tempera, I have developed a method of constructing an image based on the deconstruction and reassembly of familiar elements of reality. I am particularly interested in showing the world through the prism of a queer body. I often create visual narratives from a first-person perspective, building an intimate and personal diary from everyday images. I work with the concept of abjection. My painting is also shaped by my interest in cinema, particularly the aesthetics of horror and the emerging Feminist New Wave.

I treat my works as one of many queer and female voices, woven into a multi-layered story about reality. Alongside the individual painting process, the collective experience of working on exhibitions is equally important to me, and above all, building spaces of mutual support and empowerment. I understand artistic practice as a field where bonds and alliances are formed.
